Southern Sign Company
Who We Are

Our Business

We strive, always, to provide our clients with quality signs and graphics to aid in their personal or business success. Because we understand that the visual world in which we live directly affects the decisions we make, we want our clients to stand out in the crowd and communicate a positive image at first glance. Our staff are forward-thinking and creative in  our approach to unique situations, while offering and maintaining high standards of fabrication for every job we turn out. We may be a small team of sign makers, but our capabilities and experience far outweigh our numbers!

What does that mean to you? It means you get the best of both worlds: sign making experience equal to that of any company out there, and the personal attention you'd expect from your favorite small town shop.

Our History

Clark and Andrea moved to the Wilmington area almost three years ago from the coast of Southern California. They brought with them the knowledge, desire, and commitment to open and operate their own business. Clark had been working in the sign industry for several years in San Clemente, while Andrea worked as a realtor for one of Orange County's leading firms. Between Clark's expertise and industry awareness and Andrea's background in art and business management, both knew they could offer a reliable, innovative sign shop that would add value to their new community.

Clark
Clark is a native South African, who immigrated to the US in the late 1990s. You’re likely to run into him on a golf course or looking for waves. Although Southern California offered an interesting American experience and a bigger surf scene, he claims that the hospitality and good-natured culture of Wilmington makes him feel more at home.
Andrea
Andrea grew up in the countryside of western New York outside of Rochester. She traveled as a Rotary Exchange Student to South Africa, where she lived for a year and attended Clark’s high school. She graduated with a degree in Fine Arts from St. Andrew’s Presbyterian College in Laurinburg, NC. She values the Wilmington area’s balance of outdoor activities and its support for the arts.
